Who are ARSCP?
Human economic and social activities have a big effect on the balance of nature. Our planet's natural resources are becoming increasingly depleted, climate is changing and temperatures have risen by about 0.8 C since before the Industrial Revolution. Africa and islands are the most vulnerable areas.Drinking water is decreasing, hurricanes are increasing and poverty is on the rise.  As our desire to consume more goods and services rises by each day, humanity’s biggest challenge becomes how to protect the planet from destruction and at the same time ensuring economic growth and survival of future generations. Welcome to the African Roundtable on sustainable Consumption and Production

The African Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (ARSCP) is a regional non-governmental not-for-profit organization whose overall objective is to facilitate the development of national and regional capacities for sustainable consumption and production (SCP) and promote the effective implementations of the concepts and tools of sustainable consumption and production in African countries.
The main objective of this website is to share and disseminate information regarding sustainable consumption and production activities within the region. We appreciate your feedback and comments so that we can further improve this Website and provide you with the information and data you need about the ARSCP and at the same time encourage greater sharing of information and experiences on Cleaner Production and Sustainable Consumption practices across the continent.
